5 Seconds of Summer Tour Schedule

5 Seconds of Summer, or 5SOS, are an Australian boy band that originated in Sydney. Their fans love their boyish charm and gravitate towards their stage presence. Every show they’ve ever put on has been close to or actually has been sold out. Their music is described as pop rock or power rock by some and has started to hit mainstream U.S. radio stations. Despite their success at home and overseas, there are no concerts scheduled for 5SOS in 2019 as of yet. But keep an eye out; they’re sure to come!

      5 Seconds of Summer Background

5 Seconds of Summer is made up of four band members. They have Luke Hemmings as the lead vocalist, Ashton Irwin as the drummer, Calum Hood as the bassist, and Michael Clifford as the guitarist. In the early days of their band, they only had three members. Ashton Irwin joined them in December of 2011. Before that, they were celebrities on YouTube, posting covers to popular songs at the time. This is where they were discovered and got signed with Sony ATV Music Publishing.

They enjoyed performing and often performed at music festivals and other intimate occasions. At the time, the famous band One Direction was also a fan of their music, which helped them garner more exposure as well. After going on a supporting tour with One Direction, they started to gain fans overseas. This eventually led to their tour becoming more expansive and led to them travelling the world to perform. A classic YouTube success story!

5 Seconds of Summer’s Greatest Hits

The group has had their fair share of success in both concerts and through their albums. They received the ARIA Music Award for Song of the Year for their song, “She Looks So Perfect.” They also received this award for their song, “Youngblood,” in 2018.
