Bob Dylan Background
Bob Dylan was born as Robert Zimmerman in Duluth, Minnesota in 1941. He got into music by listening to gospel, and then rock songs on the radio. Dylan found himself gravitating towards the folk music genre because he felt it was more realistic and applicable to reality. He went to college, but decided to drop out in his first year and move to New York. He released his self-titled debut album in 1962, and he was well on his way to fame.
Bob Dylan is known for singing about the times he was in. Emotions from the eras of the civil rights movement and anti-war feelings were apparent in his music. He sort of became a voice of the people’s hearts and produced music that connected with many.
