Glass Animals, hailing from Oxford, England, emerged in 2010 as a notable indie rock ensemble. The group is comprised of Dave Bayley, who handles vocals, guitar, keyboards, drums, and songwriting; Drew MacFarlane on guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals; Edmund Irwin-Singer who plays bass, keyboards, and also provides backing vocals; and Joe Seaward on drums. 
Their debut album "Zaba," released in 2014, featured the hit single "Gooey," which achieved platinum status in the United States. Their follow-up, "How to Be a Human Being," garnered widespread acclaim, securing awards for UK Album of the Year and Self Producing Artist of the Year at the 2018 MPG Awards, and earning a nomination for the Mercury Prize. The band's third album, "Dreamland," climbed to second place on the UK Albums Chart and seventh on the US Billboard 200.
Glass Animals gained widespread fame with "Heat Waves," a single that captured global attention, particularly on TikTok. It soared to the top of the charts in Australia in February 2021, led the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2020, and accumulated over two billion streams on Spotify by September 2022. The track also secured the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and fifth on the UK Singles Chart. In 2022, Glass Animals received two Brit Award nominations for Best British Alternative/Rock Act and Best British Single for "Heat Waves," along with their first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, marking significant recognition in their ascending career.
