Biffy Clyro, a Scottish rock band formed in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, consists of Simon Neil (lead vocals, guitar) and twin brothers James (bass, backing vocals) and Ben Johnston (drums, backing vocals). The band is currently signed to 14th Floor Records and has released nine studio albums, with six reaching the top five of the UK Albums Chart. These albums include "Puzzle," "Only Revolutions," "Opposites," "Ellipsis," "A Celebration of Endings," and "The Myth of the Happily Ever After," with three consecutive albums— "Opposites," "Ellipsis," and "A Celebration of Endings"—peaking at number one.

The band saw a significant rise in their following with the release of "Puzzle" in 2007, which reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and later achieved platinum status. Their 2009 album "Only Revolutions" reached No. 3 and quickly went gold, later achieving double platinum status. It featured hit singles such as "Mountains," "That Golden Rule," and "Many of Horror," the latter of which became a UK number one Christmas single in 2010 after being covered by Matt Cardle, winner of "The X Factor."

Biffy Clyro has received numerous accolades, including a nomination for Best British Group at the 2011 Brit Awards and winning Best British Band at the 2013 NME Awards. They headlined the main stage at the Reading and Leeds Festival in 2013. Their discography includes other chart-topping albums such as "Opposites" and "Ellipsis," with their recent albums, "A Celebration of Endings" and "The Myth of the Happily Ever After," debuting at number one and four respectively.

As of 2021, Biffy Clyro has spent 165 weeks in the top seventy-five of the UK Album Charts, including three weeks at number one and 76 weeks in the top forty. Their singles have collectively spent 79 weeks in the UK Singles Charts, including six weeks in the top ten and 42 weeks in the top forty, underscoring their enduring presence and success in the music industry.
