Ed Sheeran is an English songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. Although he’s based in the UK, Ed Sheeran has become extremely popular worldwide, especially in the U.S. and other major music markets.

Ed Sheeran’s full name is Edward Christopher Sheeran. He was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England in 1991. As a child, Ed was exposed to music at a young age, as he sang in his church choir at age 4 and began learning to play the guitar. Sheeran started to record his own music and released his work titled, Spinning Man, in 2004. He released a few EPs before he was signed to Asylum Records in 2011.

Sheeran released his single, “The A Team,” and quickly topped the UK Singles Chart at number three. Subsequent releases from his album, +, were also met with similar success. These singles and albums were met with great enthusiasm from fans and led Ed to international fame fairly quickly.
